I have received a Shakuhachi Yuu for Yule and I am quite pleased with it. Previous to the Yuu, I was practicing on a PVC shakuhachi that I made in 2003. Playing the Yuu and using Koga's instruction manual have increased my understanding of the shakuhachi tremendously. I have been trying to do some research on the creator of the Shakuhachi Yuu Nagase Kenji and the history of the Yuu with very little success. If anyone has any information or knows of a resource for this info, please let me know.
Also, I would like to hear from teachers and other players in the Phoenix area.
I have been reading the posts here and look forward to getting to know the members of this forum.
