Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Returning to the monthly dinner/concert series by popular demand and the convenience that he will be in town that weekend and staying at my home, one of the great shakuhachi players of today, Yosho Kurahashi  will give a very intimate performance. Seating is limited to 20 and the event is located in a private residence in Oakland, California. Cost is $50 and reserve your space well in advance as it will sell out shortly.
As always on the series, the concert takes place between the main course and the desert. The meals are entirely vegan and focus on local, organic ingredients.

The menu for this event has not been decided yet but the performer has requested tofu dishes and we will be making a few pounds of homemade tofu.

The appetizer will be steamed Bean curd skin rolls stuffed with enoki, shitake, carrot, ginger and sprouts, served with daikon pickled with sencha

This event with Yoshio Kurahashi is part of a special 2 night weekend of these events; the great clarinet, saxphone player from Koln, Germany will perform on March 17 with a special menu consisting of dishes made with various kids of green tea.
