starting over

i started playing about 12 years ago when i was 14, under the instruction of Nev Autry. took lessons for a while..
i stopped playing for quite a while and i started getting back into it about 2 years ago... only to find my instructor was diagnosed with lung cancer.
i went to see him one last time. 3 weeks later he died... that was a year and a half ago.. i was wondering if anyone knows of any instructors in missouri... preferably St. Louis area... but im willing to drive.

Re: starting over

Might see if Mark Holland is playing shakuhachi at all. He branched from Native into some world flutes a couple years ago.

or Bradford Smith, who I think is in St. Louis area, but I don't know if his flutes include shakuahchi or not.

Re: starting over

I get to Missouri (Columbia) a few times a year, as my son and daughter live there. Would be happy to teach lessons when I'm there...
