makers?

Sorry, didn't know really under which title to ask,
so I'll ask the pro (two questions):

1. How do I find out about shakuhachi makers,
is there an archive or site where one could look
up hankos of different makers and find out about
when and where they worked?  Wouldn't it be great to
have a collection of hankos to browse?

2. I have two shakuhachi I would like to find out more
about.  Please tell me if you have any information about
the makers whose Hankos I attach below.

Monty suggested Yokomitsu for the first and for the second
I got Chokusui or Shinsui as possibilities.

Cheers, udo.

Re: makers?

Hi Perry,

thanks a lot for the info.  Do you know anything about these makers (when and where they worked etc)?
The only info I can find about Suiko is about a woman Tenno about 1500 years ago...

Cheers, udo.
