flutter tonguing

With reference to the second and as-of-yet undescribed method of flutter-tonguing, here it is as I was taught.
1. Pool a quantity of saliva at the back of the throat (the amount will be decided with experimentation).
2. Slightly constrict the back of the throat where the saliva is pooled (again experimentation is required).
3. blow as usual.

With practice, this method should be able to be called up on demand with a little bit of forethought.  Regulating the speed of the flutter is of course the trick as it is with the standard flutter technique.
The technique mentioned above generally provides a more subtle flutter than the method using the tip of the tongue, therefore depending on the circumstance, the ability to do both is desirable.
Happy tonguing.
