Brooklyn Sanya - James Nyoraku Schlefer

I enjoyed this a lot and suspect many of you would as well.

Indeed a powerful piece! The mixing of traditional honkyoku and more modern music feels well crafted -- and that's no easy task. Thanks for posting the link... gives me something to aspire to.

Damn good listening.  I have no idea about the piece, but I liked it very much.  I got a nice free lesson out of it and probably learned a good deal by watching it.  Thanks for posting.

This is a composition James Nyoraku Schlefer wrote about 5 years ago. It follows the same form as a Sanya piece but incorporates some more modern techniques and melodies. It takes a good deal of practice to play.
