sad news

Just heard from her daughter that Terry Winter Owens has died.

Terry was a great fan of the shakuhachi, and I'm sure some of you have at least practiced her solo shakuhachi composition "At the End of the Radiance in the Sky". Unlike many composers who aren't players, she got it right in terms of creating a piece that's suited to the instrument -- other than expecting shakuhachi nerds and Japanese masters to declaim Rilke poetry in the middle of the piece! Had she lived longer, she probably would have created more for shakuhachi. Definitely a loss to the community.

Nyokai,
Do you have a score of the piece, or know where to by it?
