Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Hi Folks

I know most of you aren't coming this way next week, but just to let you know, I'll be doing a bamboo flute recital as part of what is called the Hilton Arts Festival on the evening of September 14th. Shakuhachi will be a major feature of the recital. I will play some planned traditional stuff (from various traditions), and improvise as the audience responds.

And here is the second known public shakuhachi playing in our country (though there is some reported in Cape Town). A Durban designer loves the shakuhachi, and here he is collaborating with a local DJ at a Durban restaurant:
