Kurahashi Yoshio coming to the bay area

Kurahashi Yoshio, one of the great shakuhachi players and teachers of our time will be spending several days in the San Francisco Bay Area in late February/early March, 2006.
There will be private lessons as well as group classes available. A concert will take place at a church in Albany (just north of berkeley) featuring a set of Kurahashi playing solo honkyoku. The second set will feature Kurahashi in ensembles with Shoko Hikage (koto), Philip Flavin (shamisen) and Philip Gelb (shakuhachi) featuring modern and traditional pieces.

I would like to add to Phil's message and put Kurahashi Sensei's entire tour down. If you have a chance, do not miss this opportunity to study with the most favorite Japanese Shakuhaci teacher of non-Japanese!:
