New member from Switzerland

Hello
I' m a new member in the shakuhachi Forum from Switzerland.
I'm a professionel flutist of the historical wodden transversflute and I am a maker of this instruments.
I have studied music around 25 years ago in Basel and I had my first contact to shakuhachi in this time.
I always loved this instrument, but I had never time to learn it. Now, its 1 1/2 years ago I reallized this long dream an started learning this wonderful instrument.
My long experiences with old flutes were very helpful to do this. I' m almost a beginner who is playing first sankyoku pieces and I like this increasing way of developing with this instrument. I think I will start to make instruments in the future - first from wood, thats my knowledge - than from bamboo.

best wishes to all

Andreas from Basel /CH
