New Aussie player

Hello everyone, registered a while ago, got my shakuhachi today.

A redgum shakuhachi made by David Brown, this thing is beautiful, i just need to learn to play it now.

I plan to start taking lessons after the xmas break.

I finished my HSC this year and i have applied for the bachelor of music at UWS [university of western sydney].

Hi Tim,

Great to hear that you are taking up Shakuhachi !
I am an Australian in living in South Korea and find Shakuhachi a wonderful exploration in life.
I am happy to know that there is quite a bit of action in Australia ( to say the least) regarding Shakuhachi tuition and performance.
It'll be good to get back there in the future and to see people like yourself as you develop your shakuhachi skills and creativity. Enjoy !
