Hi Geni,
Yes I've got the SUPER-NOVA - KOKOO.
Quite interesting - quite strange stuff it is.

Yes, I studied with Akikazu Nakamura in Tokyo. He'll be playing in NYC in Feb. I think it'll be Honkyoku only this time, not his renditions of rock classics. I do hope he'll do the Led Zeppelin cover as an encore though. I'll make a posting in the events section as soon as I receive the promo materials.
Rock on - Perry

I saw that band play live. It was a pleasure to see a couple of leggy koto players standing up while playing. Did I say that?
Anyway Nakamura is one of the best at combining rock and jazz with the shakuhachi. His honkyoku is also amazing. Unlike most "dokyoku" players of today, he focuses on the aggressive side of Watazumi's legacy and has developed many interesting techniques. If he's playing in New York people should avail themselves of the opportunity to hear a great player.

I am trying to find a copy of this CD, or a download of the tracks. It seems to be discontinued and not available anywhere. Can anyone help me?
I am doing a presentation on Shakuhachi at my school (The Art Institute of Atlanta) on Tuesday the 25 of July, 06 and would really like to have a cut, or sample of this album. Any help would be immensely appreciated.

Thank you Geni,
I had checked Monty's site first and he has it listed as out of print, as does Nakamura's home page as well as every hit I got off of Google.com.
I appreciate the link anyway.
