Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Ensemble East, shakuhachi, koto and shamisen, will be performing on the Eastman School of Music "World Music Series" this Thursday at Kilbourne Hall. In addition to myself there will be Yumi Kurosawa, 13 and 20 string koto, and Takamizu Mutsumi, sangen and voice. The program is three classic pieces, Kurokami, Sokaku Reibo, and Kaji Makura, and contemporary pieces of mine and Yumi's and Takashi Yoshimatsu's wonderful, Soh Gyo Fu.
