Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Lurking for several months and thought I would join to say "thank you" for this wonderful site.

I stumbled across the shakuhachi several months ago when I visited Longwood Garden.  They had a bamboo exhibit there and I bought a flute from Jem Klein.  All this happened by chance.  Maybe fate.  Anyhow, since then, I've been annoying my wife.

I have no long term goals for playing the shakuhachi except to enjoy the journey.  I currently have a "meditation" flute and I am currently looking for a durable 1.8 flute with "standard" tuning.  I want to get a David Brown 1.8 but his site is no longer around, and Naljor Creations don't carry any 1.8's (believe me, I've been checking for the last couple of months).  I might eventually settle for a Yuu if a DB flute doesn't show up.
