Hi there! Greetings from Brazil!

I'm a tsugaru shamisen player and a "starting-to-play" shakuhachi.
I don't have a teacher so I'm beginning with some min'you.
Here in Brazil we have good teachers but they live far from me.
My shamisen teacher is one one them, I need to travel 14 hours in a bus for some classes.
For a good shakuhachi sensei I will need 2 hours more.

I wish here to find stuff for study till I get shakuhachi classes.
See you later!

Re: Hi there! Greetings from Brazil!

Welcome. wink  I don't know what the Internet infrastructure is like there in Brazil, but if you have a reasonably fast connection (ADSL), you may want to consider taking lessons online. There are a number of teachers here on the forum who offer lessons. It's not cheap but there's a lot of work one can do in between lessons, especially if they're only on a monthly basis.

Thanks! I'll think about!
Maybe, like you said, isnt cheap, but can be cheaper than to travel 16 hours and so pay for the lessons too.

Re: Hi there! Greetings from Brazil!

Henrique.

Re: Hi there! Greetings from Brazil!
