Re: Teachers in Southern USA

I’m Allyson Richmond and I’ve been a student of Ronnie Nyogetsu Reishin Seldin Sensei in New York City for the past 20 years.  I’ll be getting my teaching license this year.

My soon to be husband, Gary Sharp (an 11 year student of Seldin Sensei) and I want to open a school to teach shakuhachi in Florida next year.  Is there anyone in Florida who is looking for traditionally trained teachers? We’re just testing the waters to see what kind of interest there’d be.

For Floridians who are interested, you can contact us at AllysonJR@aol.com.

Thank you!

Allyson

Sent you an e-mail. I'd definitely be glad to have a teacher in the area.

Re: Teachers in Southern USA

I am in Atlanta, Georgia and have been here, without a teacher, for over six years. I would love to find someone who would like to get together and play some shakuhachi. I have yet to find someone here who has even heard of a shakuhachi.
I had studied under David Duncavage, student of Yoshio Kurahashi and Ronnie Seldin, for a couple of years in Massachusetts, before moving to the south.
Any one else here in the ATL?
