I have a flute I really love made by Kinshu and I would like to acquire more info on the maker. If anyone knows where I can find any pics or info I would be most appreciative.
Thanks!

Here is some info I got from Tairaku:
He is still alive but very old. From Northern Japan. He borrowed some Yamaguchi Shiro flutes from Yamaguchi Goro and tried to imitate them. Hence the radical curve on your 1.8. That's a Shiro trademark. He never got "there" with the Shiro thing but they are still really fine flutes.

Some of his flutes are as good as Shiro flutes. Those of you who heard Stan Richardson in Sydney (or anywhere) have heard one of Kinshu's finest flutes blowing beautiful tones. There is another one in NYC (I forgot the name of the owner) which is of similar quality. But it's difficult to find anything that's as good as the finest Shiro. Shiro had a range of flutemaking from the best to pretty mediocre.

It's inspiring to know that I have something in common with Yamaguchi Shiro!
