Minyo style of playing

Hello,

There is an information I have been looking for a while and nobody so far has been able to give me an answer.

I would like to know when was started the minyo style of playing. Before or after WWII? What was behind it? Did someone write something about it (in a book or an article)?

Thanks a lot!

Zen is not easy.
It takes effort to attain nothingness.
And then what do you have?
Bupkes.

Re: Minyo style of playing

Are there any books or manuals teaching how to play Minyo properly, ornamentation etc? Or is it a part of Kinko or Tozan study programs?
