Greetings from Philadelphia, PA

I have only had a shakuhachi for two days, so I am glad to have found this community.  I love listening to the shakuhachi and I have since decided to learn to play as an extension of my Zen practice.  From the little playing that I have done, I have already seen the complexities of the shakuhachi and I anticipate that this website has posted answers to many of the questions I have.  Thanks again for creating/being part of this wealth of knowledge.
Peace,
Kaz

Ah, the ancient pond.
A frog makes the plunge;
The sound of water.

Hi Kaz and welcome to the shakuhachi forum!

The community here is invaluable.

I'm also a beginner just learning to play the shakuhachi.

I'm chronicling my experience in a blog, "A Shakuhachi Journey".

Feel free to check it out some time, perhaps we will be sharing some very similar bamboo flute discoveries.

cheers,
Erin
