iPhone Flute

Interesting... playing Ocarina on your iPhone.  Wonder if the sample could be changed to shakuhachi?  Probably no meri's, though.

Re: iPhone Flute

Does anybody know where I could get a cool shakuhachi ring tone? The opening notes of Shika no Tone or Kumoi Jishi would be ideal but I'll settle for anything that is actually a shakuhachi.

Re: iPhone Flute

what kind of Phone do you have? In some phones you can create (record) your own ringtone.

Re: iPhone Flute

I've got a Nokia 6085. Nothing fancy. What are my options if any?

Re: iPhone Flute

that model has a music player, so you can dowload a song  & use it as a ringtone.
You can download RingTone/Songs from Tunes. There are different versions of Shika no Tone on Itunes.
Give it a try;-)

The iPhone has an accelerometer which can sense the angle of the iPhone.  This would allow meri.  However, you'd have to leave out the thumb hole (no two-sided iPhone screens).

Myself, I play iKoto from time to time.  The app is pretty amazing.

Jim, I might be able to make you a ringtone.  Got a particular version of Shika no Tone you like?

That would be very cool. My first choice would be Masa's version of  Kumoi Jishi off of the Kokin Gumi c.d. Wakyo which I believe you have. Otherwise for Shika no Tone any Yokoyama will do. Thanks!
