I've been looking for pictures or drawings of komusos and am a little surprised to not find that many. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place. Does anybody have any suggestions where to look?

Try searching live.com using "komuso" as an Image search. The way that live.com indexes images is more precise than the method that Google.com uses, presently. Hopefully this helps.

Torsten Olaffson has a lot of very raw historical komuso drawings in his "Kaido Honsoku" which you can get from Monty.
