"Yeah the guy who was in the finals in the WSF08 competitiowas from mainland China, Shanghai I think. I believe that most of the players from China who entered were associated with a teacher named Kanzaki Ken. He's from Osaka, but he teaches often in Gaoxiong, Taichung, and Taipei in Taiwan. I have never heard him actually play so I cannot vouche for him, but he has studied 7 holed shakuhachi with Miyata Kohachiro and is a Shihan in the Kinko ryu under Mitsuhashi Kifu.
