Voting Someone Off the Island?

I know that this is a benevolent dictatorship here on the BBQ, but is there anyway of voting someone off the island?

Re: Voting Someone Off the Island?

cool lol roll But then who will be the administrators?

We only had to ban one person who was first known as Sigwada and then joined with several other aliases after he was banned for spamming the forum with his "product". His avatar was changed to Imelda Marcos.

Since then there have been a few other people who have gone into self imposed exile when their genius was challenged. But they usually come out of the woodwork for the occasional posting frenzy. Then sulk off again the next time they get the roll treatment.

Who do you want to put in the rowboat at high tide without a paddle? If it's who I think it is he got himself into a similar spot on Bruce's list a few years ago?

I know it won't be funny if you have to exlpain the joke, but if you could give me a clue maybe I can be cool with hip humor just like you. http://www.film-forward.com/imelda.jpg

Imelda Marcos is Filipino

Sigwada is Filipino

If you you don't know who Imelda Marcos is, you will, alas, never be hip...

Poor Imelda. She got a bum rap.

Jerry Spence has an interesting chapter about her in his book.

But, but, your signature tells us that if we get rid of one we'll end up with two. I say keep the one on the island.

Oh. That was just a funny back to Kiku which probably wasn't that funny, but, hey I can throw 'em into the dirt with the best of them.

The quality of a being a "knob'" or acting as such wouldn't move me to such extremes as throwing someone off the island. I'm much too Socialist for that.

One often can't help being a normal everyday knob.

HOWever, making oneself a repeated nuisance on a forum to the point of spamming every major category of discussion in wild spews of narcissistic inanities, well, that's another story.

Yeah but then Ken would have to run this thing by himself. And the flood of Bombay would turn to a trickle. lol

This really isn't fair saying that there is offensive poster here when there haven't been any problems in a while. I'm sure I'm not the only one reading this thinking that they may be the offensive poster. Heck, I've got 500 and some posts and, as Edosan has pointed out many times, I'm not qualified to even talk.

It all seems like a fun game until they make you drink the bug juice...

No worries Charles. You're safe!! big_smile I think it's pretty obvious. It might be best to allow this person to self correct and cool it for a bit.

Insane, perhaps. But I'm far too incredible to be narcissistic. God, my hair is lush this afternoon...
