First Kumamoto Shakuhachi Festival

Greetings All,
As I posted before, I'm in the process of implementing the First Kumamoto Shakuhachi Festival which I intend to do as an annual event.  I've gotten a great deal of verbal support from people here on the forum and folks here in Kumamoto.  As all who have done this sort of thing before know, generating money is often the hard part.  I have several trees to bark up, but I came across an interesting organization that helps people with worth while causes get support from unlikely places and I would like to take advantage of this mechanism if possible.  In order to qualify to do this, I require 100 votes from people who think this is a worth while cause by August 8th.  Though this forum isn't my only resource, I would like to invite any here who think this is a worth while venture to cast a vote to qualify it.  Naturally, your vote and any information given is held in strict confidencd.
If you would like to show your support, please go to this link and cast your vote.
http://www.givemeaning.com/proposal/take/
I thank you all in advance.
Jeff

Thanks so much friends for your initial vote of confidence.  That's 20 votes in one night toward the goal of 100.  Moving forward!

Re: First Kumamoto Shakuhachi Festival

Thanks for the opportunity to vote yes for this worthwhile cause. As a former resident of Chiba who encountered
the shakuhachi only rarely before i left to really "find "it in a dried up piece of reed in Israel, I further pledge to give you any support i can.  Good luck and put me down as a work volunteer.

Re: First Kumamoto Shakuhachi Festival

I just wanted to remind folks about this worthy project and ask any who haven't gone to http://www.givemeaning.com/proposal/take to please consider going there now and clicking on the 'vote now' button in the upper left part of the window to show your support.  I'm at about 50 votes right now and need 100 by August 8th to qualify.  If only a tenth of the registered people on this forum clicked the 'yes' button, things would be settled right now.  Please consider this and if you feel you want to be a part, act now.  To those of you who have already shown your support, I thank you.
cheers
Jeff

Re: First Kumamoto Shakuhachi Festival

Thank you so much everybody.  We made it to 100 qualifying votes with time to spare.  Now is when things get interesting....or so I hope.  More official news to come on the festival.
