Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Please join us for a performance of traditional music for Shakuhachi, the Japanese bamboo flute, this Sunday morning, July 19 at 11:00AM. The concert is at the Tenri Cultural Institute, 43A W. 13th St., between 6th and 5th Avenues in Manhattan. Performers are members of the Kyo-Shin-An Shakuhachi Dojo: Karl Yoraku Spicer, Tori Yuraku Brand, Eric Ford, Thomas Hack, Rachel Mundy, Nora Suggs, Kevin Allen. A $10 donation is requested.

The Kyo-Shin-An dojo, headed by Grand Master James Nyoraku Schlefer, is a leading school of shakuhachi in New York City. The dojo is in the Kinko-ryu, Jin Nyodo lineage.
