Do you recognise this hanko or the maker of this flute?

it was sold as a flute of the Taisho era, but has a joint...I've read somewhere that a joint was a newer invention of the shakuhachi. The flute itself is a jinashi flute, 1.8 in length but C# key.
thnx!

Bas,
The last character looks like "Getsu" or Moon, it looks like its in the Sosho style or "cursive" style. The top character looks like the hiragana character "no" but I'm not sure on that one. You could run it by Jeff Cairns and his handy dandy hanko database. If you can't get it identified then be proud of your unique question mark one-of-a-kind shakuhachi!

Thans Benjamin, I have checked the database (online) and can't find any one the same. Maybe it is unique ...but someone will say 'hey that's a...!'
I always like to know some about the history of flutes and makers if possible. Unfortenately I can't find a lot about both for makers and flutes in general.

Hi Bas, the bottom Kanji certainly looks like moon. Can't see the top one well but I concur with Ben.
Looks like a nice flute.
Be well, Perry
