John Daido Loori's death

Hello all,

I'm posting this here because I've connected with some fellow forum members who've made contact with Daido's life and teachings.

Here's a link to the New York Times obit:
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/10/10/nyreg … i.html?hpw

...link to a local paper obit (much better in my opinion):
http://www.dailyfreeman.com/articles/20 … 869113.txt

...the MRO website:
http://www.mro.org/mro.html

His teachings are widely available on the internet.

I will continue to play memorial pieces (Banshiki, Tamuke) and dedicate the merits to Muge Daido Daiosho until his funeral in 49 days. If you're so inclined, please join in.

In gratitude,
Kohl 'Seiho' Sudduth

Re: John Daido Loori's death

Thanks Kohl for posting this. I never met Daido Loori but everyone I have ever met who was taught by him, was very special because of that. Clearly he was a bright light in the world.
