The Legend of 1900

I thought of posting this in the review section, but since it is not shakuhachi related, it is probably better here. The Legend of 1900 is a movie that I saw a while ago, and it is one of the best movies that I have ever seen.  If music moves you and is your chosen form of expression, I would consider it a must-see.  I found it awe inspiring.  I got lost in YouTube today and was watching clips of it when I thought some folks here might enjoy it if they haven't seen it already.  It is about a pianist that is born, lives, and dies on a cruise ship without ever getting off of it.  It has some of the best scenes of any movie in it, as well as some really great piano music (at least according to my neophyte tastes.  I am not the musician that many of you are).  This is one of my favorite scenes from the movie and just about the best "dance" scene ever conceived, in my humble opinion.

While you are in YouTube, the piano duel scene part 2 is also great but much longer.

"F*** Jazz!"

Watch the movie, and you'll get the quote.

"Turn like a wheel inside a wheel."
