Shakuhachi at Lincoln Center

On January 18, 2010, Martin Luther King Day, I will be performing at Lincoln Center, Avery Fisher Hall, with orchestra and chorus in “Requiem” by the contemporary British composer Karl Jenkins. This is a very accessible piece that follows many of the standard Requiem texts (Lacrymosa, Dies Irae, etc). The Latin sections are interspersed with five haiku poems, each of which has a solo shakuhachi part.

Here is the link for the concert. http://www.lincolncenter.org/show_event … code=23114

Re: Shakuhachi at Lincoln Center

Is this the same "Peace" concert that ISS is pumping on Facebook?  Sounds very cool.

I'll be there. Looking forward to it.
