Re: Drinks celebrating yet another shakuhachi PhD

How many of these theses are openly available on the web? Maybe we should gather them somewhere on the forum for people to peruse.

Congrats Kiku, hope you enjoyed the malts you celebrated with! smile

Well, regardless of who has to bow we probably need more shakuhachi Ph.D.'s than Shihans at the moment because the confusion surrounding shakuhachi history is thorny. Or maybe that's the point of all those legends and we shouldn't shine too much light into the mist?

Congratulations Dr. Kiku!

(Komuso dream: Hot Chick, jinashi shakuhachi, Doctoral discertation............what more can you ask for?:-))

When and where will the thesis be posted? I must measure it against others!

Seriously, ( I thought I was....) A deep bow and profound respect for your dedication and trail blazing tendencies. One day we may meet, and I WILL buy you a celebratory malt (with or without inclusions)!
