recordings from Tokyo 2/21 show with violinist Eaisung Shin

I posted a bunch of stuff on my myspace www.myspace.com/glennswannshakuhachi
either live from this past weekend's show in tokyo, or from rehearsal for it.
The violinist is Eaisung Shin, who played at the NYC World Shakuhachi festival with Kurahashi Yodo (nee Yoshio). Amazing musician and wonderful person....

the pieces are
Seiyakyoku (Fukuda Rando, violin takes piano part)
Ake No Kane (also Fukuda Rando, violin takes soprano part, no piano)
5 pieces from Bartok's 44Duos (shakuhachi takes violin 1 part)
Aqua(Sakamoto Ryuuichi piano piece arranged for shakuhachi and violin)
and solo...
Toward Liberation (Ueda Keiko)
Azuma Jishi (on late Edo era 1.5)(thanks again, Perry!)
Ginryuu Kokuu ( shortened version)

which is actually the whole program, save Eaisung's 2 solos!

video didn't take on myspace- ended upsounding like a 33 on 45rpm...

I just started listening, awesomely beautiful...

Now everything that nature breeds, Doth clad itself in pleasant weeds."
