Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Hi Folks -

Very nice to find the board.

I just started playing Shakuhachi and have only hours of playing (using this word loosely) time.

I purchased a beginner’s model from Perry Young and I am very happy with the flute and the level of friendly service.

I have no musical background, and my primary goal in learning Shakuhachi is to enhance and extend my current meditation practices – interestingly enough the impact on my meditation was immediate, powerful and sweet, even though the sound I am producing has much room for improvement

Thanks in part to this board, I have already connected with a fine teacher and had my first lesson today.  Of course, this changed everything, but at least I’m learning some of the fundamentals to establish a sound foundation.
