Just starting witt old shakuhachi

I just recieved a old Shakuhachi from a friend today and i have been dying to learn to play. I just dont know if the one i have is playable? If i posted some pics of it can anyone tell me if its a good Shakuhachi. I just started and i can barely make a sound with it it most likely is just me but does anyone know or have a tutoriol on how to get started.

Thanks
