GENI - Japanese Shakuhachi Funk Sextet
A unique sound of Geni's project is created by an unusual mixture of styles (from funk and R&B to Latin and jazz, from Japanese melodies to Israeli folk songs). Geni is a virtuoso flute player who recently added to his roster of instruments the Shakuhachi (traditional Japanese flute) and Shakulute - a revolutionary instrument that combines mouthpiece from Shakuhachi and body of a flute.
Geni is joined by Slava Tolstoy guitarist , Yan Perchuk (bass), Yahuba (drums) and Ben Zecker (keys) and Special Guests...

Coming from different countries / musical traditions (Albania, Russia, Israel, England and USA) these musicians blend together perfectly and are responsible for tight grooves and sensitive sonic landscapes of Geni's band. During their performance you will be taken on a journey through several cultures and musical traditions.
