Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Hi,

Recently I came across a nice reverberating space in Berlin –  the abandoned US Listening Station at Teufelsberg (devil’s mountain), proper cold war relict.

So I went there one afternoon with the shakuhachi to try out a bit of improvisation in the main dome. I documented my efforts…

I used a video camera to record the audio hence the movie clip, but also to provide a sense of location for that sample.
