Is this possibly the piece by Taniguchi Yoshinobu that was discussed awhile ago? I don't think any conclusions ever came about the piece though

Re: Tamuke Shin no Te revisted

Only place this seems to be listed is on Monty's site http://www.shakuhachi.com under sheet music:

Tokuyama Sheet Music - GREEN SERIES - Intermediate Level
G-34      Tamuke Shin no Te (not recorded)

It would be nice to hear a recording some day.

Re: Tamuke Shin no Te revisted

Thanks for replies folks..yes I do have the score cited from Monty's site hence the req for any recording of it...

This is a pity as its an interesting version of Tamuke using hole 4 [only] open Ri [dai] meri or if you like Bb[ ref pitch 1.8] rather than shade4 3 hole open Ri [dai] meri - sori not conversant with all the kinko note names [off the top of head]

This gives a subdued tone and needs gentle breath.   Im working on this piece as best as i can. I feel a very quiet aproach works well.
