Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Hello,

I understand that to play the go ni hi note, you have the bottom two holes covered and the other three holes open, isn't that right?  But now what if you want to play this note meri?  Is there any change to the fingering, i.e. shading of any additional holes?  Or is it just a matter of keeping the basic go ni hi fingering and just changing the blowing angle to power the pitch?
