CHOSHI on a new David Brown 2.4

A few days ago I received a new David Brown 2.4 flute. It is a very beautiful wooden flute (Tasmanian Tiger Myrtle) and I am quite happy with it.

I recorded CHOSHI almost instantly as soon as I managed to play some notes on the new flute, and uploaded it to my myspace site (http://www.myspace.com/mikeshakuhachi).

Just wanted to share the sound of this new flute with you. I think it might be interesting especially for those of you who haven't had the chance to listen to such a wooden David-Brown-2.4 before.

The other pieces that you will find there are played on my 1.8 and 2.0 bamboos.

Hope you'll like the sounds! And thanks for listening!

Mike

I wish I would have found this instrument much earlier in my life. But I didnĀ“t know that I was searching for it all those years.

Hi Mike,
Nice Choshi! And also a good flute selection. There is a lot of tone there, even if it's not bamboo. Have fun exploring the flute even deeper.
