Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Dear European Shakuhachi Enthusiasts,

I'm writing to let you know that I will be touring throughout Germany (with one date in Switzerland) with Uzume Taiko, Canada's first taiko drum group from April 17-May 9. I will be available to give private shakuhachi lessons during my off days. I teach repertoire from the the International Shakuhachi Training Center (Kokusai Shakuhachi Kenshukan) the school of YOKOYAMA Katsuya and the jinashi shakuhachi style of Zenzabo, OKUDA Atsuya, as well as contemporary music for shakuhachi. During lessons I will focus on making the best sound you can make on your instrument as well as playing the honkyoku properly (or anything you would like to concentrate on). I will have my new CDs Zen Shakuhachi 1 & 2 available for sale as well.

Uzume Taiko will be performing contemporary pieces for Taiko with traditional shakuhachi interspersed throughout the show as well as utilizing other instrumentations such as shino-bue, hichiriki, bawu, and didgeridoo.
