Re: Geni Skendo Debut CD available!

Hey Shakuhachi Knoblets,

Geni moved to the States from Albania with nothing but four Albanian drachmas and a dried goat. Taught himself how to play shakuhachi in 3 months and then made a CD in pursuit of the American dream. He's a valuable contributor to the shakuhachi forum. Yet he has informed me NONE of you have purchased his CD on CD Baby. What happened to the helping hand Americans are supposed to give to our hard working immigrants? Huh?

BUY!

P.S. the music is pretty good! My fave is "Lullabye for Ran Blake" Good example of free improv on shakuhachi. wink

You better listen to Tairaku and buy this CD, not because he's a poor ole immigrant in Australia but because he's a musician/shakuhachi guy who knows what he's talking about most of the time. I don't know a lot about improvisation but I listened to the Cd the last two nights at dinner and never burped once! I agree with with immigrant Tairaku. Nice first Cd Geni!
