Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

On Sunday, May 21 in Bethlehem PA, I will be premiering my new piece for shakuhachi and string quartet with the Satori Chamber Ensemble, the group that commissioned the work. This is a substantial 25 minute, 3 movement work that incorporates the sound of traditional shakuhachi with that of the classic string quartet (2 violins, viola and cello) but written in my own energetic (frenetic?), contemporary style.
