Major Composers influenced by traditional shakuhachi music

Hi,

could you please, hint upon which major composers were influenced by traditional shakuhachi music? I know John Cage was, who is next?

Thanks a lot.

Marek

Re: Major Composers influenced by traditional shakuhachi music

Thanks a lot. I am especially particularly interested in western composers where the cultural gap was bigger. Did anyone even compose for the shakuhachi?
I should probably do the research myself (which I will) but if you have any more info, I'd be grateful.

Cheers,

Marek
