Greetings to all from Lebanon.

I am here initially alone (since February 9th), and my family will follow in August.

I have started teaching Karate and Shakuhachi full time at my own Dojo (in Lebanon). My Dojo is located within the premises of the Ecole Libanaise de Ballet of Mme Georgette Gebara, a prominent ballerina and ballet instructor. She has generously offered part of her location for me to teach these Noble Japanese traditional arts. It is a magnificent location overlooking the Mediterranean Sea with a truly inspirational view.

Great, it's wonderful to see the shakuhachi spread internationally.

One of our "volunteers" with graphic skills should make a map of the dojos around the world.

Is Zouk Mosbeh far from Beirut? I am planning to go to Beirut perhaps this autumn to visit a good friend. Could be great to visit your dojo too.

Thank you all for your encouragements. It means a lot to me on this new chapter in my life and my family's.

It would be great for anyone to come to Lebanon! It is truly a beautiful place and you are all most welcome.

Kiku, I live in Beirut at my parent's house in Hamra, next to the American University of Beirut. When I get settled down with my Karate teaching and my family comes over from Tokyo, we will likely move into our own place, but no rush for the time being! I am enjoying my mother's cooking, after all these years!

Zouk Mosbeh is about 20Km from Beirut. I commute everyday and it takes about 20 minutes with no traffic, and 40 minutes if there is traffic.
I am sure you will enjoy it! It will be wonderful to see you here.

Wow! One more good reason to visit Beirut and my good friend Lasse.
Perhaps we could do some playing together...
Yes, I will let you know when I decide to go there. I do feel I need a holiday some time soonish....
Let us know how shakuhachi is catching on in Lebanon. And also, do tell us how people react when you play. Do most people like it? Or what do they say in general - I am sure there are as many reactions as people.
