Hanko data base

Greetings All,
The hanko data base is constantly growing with new inclusions (right now over 70 hanko), but it would be great if any of you could add details to any of the hanko.  Any known information or links would be fantastic.
Remember, if you feel that you have information to add to more than one item, or more than once, it's easy for me to sign you up as an editor to the list which would allow you to input data directly.
Many thanks to those of you who have contributed.
cheers
Jeff

Re: Hanko data base

Hello All,
I received a message from one member that they were having difficulty accessing the hanko data base and I'm wondering if any other people are having similar difficulty.  If so, would you please contact me off-list and let me know.  Thanks.
Jeff

Re: Hanko data base

Hi Jeff.
I had no problems entering the database.
It is excellent!
I will send you some of my pictures soon to add.
Thanks for the good work!

Re: Hanko data base

Jeff,

It might be an issue of screen resolution. At 800x600 it's off the display for me, to
the right. I have to scroll to the right to see it.

Doing Ctrl-F in Firefox brings up the "find" interface, and typing in "hanko"
there does not find the link.

So at first I did not see it.

Re: Hanko data base

So maybe the page setup itself of the website...I can find it though, although it isn't very 'visible' to me. The first time I was looking for it, I missed it. The page on which it is on is a bit full of 'flashy' and many things (a bit like a pinball machine).

The banner that links to the hanko database is blue, with the words "Shakuhachi Hanko Data Base" on it in light tan, and it's low and to the right on the
page.

Here's a direct link (copied from that banner) for your very own self, so you can go there right now:

(Probably what Jeff should've posted here in the first place.)

Re: Hanko data base

This post is in regards to a mystery hanko from a flute that I just purchased.

http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2655/131/39/607866118/n607866118_2985771_5637653.jpg

I posted this due to the fact that on the Jeff's data base there is nothing but a question mark.  Was wondering if anyone has heard or seen this hanko on a flute? Its a two piece flute with a tozan inlay and red lacquer. I will most likely be using this flute for study with Michael Gould.

Any help would be appreciated, although I realize that Jeff's hanko data base is quite thorough, and if there is no info on this hanko then I am not too worried about exhausting too much time or effort into the origins of the flute.

Thanks again
