Funagawa Toshio Concert
Recently on 4/11 at Toppan Hall in Tokyo master composer and shakuhachi player Funagawa Toshio had a huge recital featuring some of the top players in Japan on the same stage.
The concert was over a $100, which caused a lot of dabate here in Japan, but when you think about Fujiwara Douzan's concerts alone cost about half of that. They said to think of it as a night at the opera.
For the price you got to see Dozan, Mitsuhashi Kifu and Zenyouji Keisuke perfom together in a shakuhachi trio (#2), as well as songs from Sugawara Kuniyoshi and others.
All of the songs in blue are on the japanese website and are in Mp3 format. Most of the songs are contemporary but for the honkyoku fans #5 is Ajikan.

We didn't get the visual and atmoshperic experience of the live concert, which is always so much better, but the mp3s are free and they did a pretty good recording job. Enjoy
