Hello from Oregon

Hello, my name is Rick Bartolotti.  I've actually been a member for quite a while but just hadn't properly introduced myself.

I've been playing Shakuhachi for about 4 years.  I've been lucky to have some great teachers, 1st Joel Taylor then Larry Tyrrell & currently I'm talking Skype lessons with Michael Gould.

Before Shakuhachi my music background was playing piano/keyboards with some local blues bands.  Since discovering Shakuhachi my piano days have diminished quite a bit but that's ok, I love the Shakuhachi.

Thanks for providing an interesting and educational forum.

Rick

Rick,
Vehicles change.  It's what's being transmitted that counts.  If you are committed to beauty and truth, the song remains the same throughout. Above all, bring people together through what you do.  Everything else will fall neatly into place as it should.  Thanks for coming out cool
