Anyone: Didn't Kikusui Kofu write a piece for a shakuhachi with no finger holes?
The possibilities ... choruses of different length/width MU doing harmonics and drones. Layers upon layers. You could even learn to compose rather tightly for a chorus where the MU are tuned/ or chosen more specifically.
