Mujitsu and Tairaku's Shakuhachi BBQ

Welcome to the forum! Right now everyone seems obsessed with copyright violations but don't worry, it's not normally like this! The shakuhachi which many people use in the beginning is a plastic one which costs aorund US $100 I think, and is called the "Yuu" shakuhachi. It's good because it is in tune and quite easy to play (as shakuhachi go, which is kind of hard actually!) and doesn't crack (bamboo does if the environment is too dry) so that's convenient too. If you google it you will probably find some sources for it. Not sure about books or videos, others will probably answer you on that. Might depend on what kind of music you want to be playing eventually?

Also there's a very nice teacher in Spain, whose name coincidentally is Antonio. If you would like to have lessons you can mail me if you would like to get in touch with him.

hopefully ill buy this month and start walking my shakuhachi road.

Welcome Antonio. I hate to say it but you aren't a complete knob that easily (self proclaimed). You have to spend some time on the forum and misbehave appropriately before you can be called a knob by others. You have to earn this. Just like many before you!

'Noob' is actually the diminutive of 'Knob', so it's allowed...
