Wake up! Barry Weiss interview about shakuhachi, zen, and everything

Greetings everyone,

In June 2009 Barry Weiss (Daido Houun aka Kyuko aka Nyosui) conducted a shakuhachi workshop at the Zen Mountain Monastery in the Catskills (see Kohl's Gratitude to Barry Weiss that describes what happened at the workshop).

During that weekend Gyokuro, one of the ZMM residents, interviewed Barry for a WZEN internet radio segment that was recently "aired." Among other topics, Barry shared in an open way about how the shakuhachi became part of his life, the path (or paths) he has followed including his more recent experiences now as a zen monk, and an interesting counterpoint to Kohl's description of the shakuhachi workshop -- the view from where the workshop leader sat.

One of Barry's friends captured the broadcast: download the interview.

.

Loved it...thanks.

Zen is not easy.
It takes effort to attain nothingness.
And then what do you have?
Bupkes.
