Re: Todays Practice

Almost all cats I've met love the sound of shakuhachi. I had one cat for years who was a huge fan and developed a particular liking for particular pieces. I've always wanted to do a concert for cats, but the logistics are daunting.

Aaaawwwwwwww CUTE!

I'm allergic to those things. But Ken and I were doing a shakuhachi BBQ and discovered that the allergens are neutralized once they reach a certain temperature. Bombay martini and BBQ cat, medium rare, yummy!

I'm no longer vegetarian these days, but I try to avoid meat that still has its eyes open.

Re: Todays Practice

My cat taught me how to play in Kan: When I was struggling with it, he did something goofy that made me "laugh" into the utaguchi - just the right air pressure to hit the 2nd octave - from there on out I had it!

He also camps in my lap or laying up against me when I play. Thats how I could tell I was getting better; when he would camp out close to me while I was playing instead of hiding. His ears move around and he gets a gorky look on his face.
